Jerome Kaszubowski

Elected Highlands County Clerk of Circuit Court & Comptroller in August 2020, Jerome's first day of office was October 1, 2020.

Jerome Kaszubowski has served as a Highlands County Clerk of Courts Deputy Clerk, in various capacities, for more than 30 years. Under the Robert Germaine administration, he held the Senior Director of Business Services position with oversight of the agency’s business operations. The Business Services Department includes various divisions, including Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Official Records, Tax Deeds, Marriage Licenses, Payroll (for the Clerk and Board of County Commissioners), and Information Technology (for the Clerk, Board, Tax Collector, and Supervisor of Elections).

Before joining the Clerk of Courts in 1986, Jerome attended Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Michigan, where he earned an Associate’s degree in Accountancy, and a  Bachelor of Science degree in Business Data Processing, graduating with high distinction. In 2010, he became a Certified Governmental Chief Information Officer through Florida State University and was a member of the SFSC Leadership Highlands Class of 2011. 

Today, Jerome is happily married to Margaret, his wife of 30 years and counting! They have three children: Kyle Conley, Hannah Kaszubowski, and Kayla Best; Son-in-law Chuck Best; and five grandchildren: Addie and Kade Conley, and Seth, Bailey and Aaron Best.
